Product Description:

The popular Mary Kay Andrews delivers a tasty holiday treat as she brings back the winning characters from Savannah Blues and Savannah Breeze for a little Southern cheer.

It's the week before Christmas, and antiques dealer Weezie Foley is in a frenzy to do up her shop for the Savannah historical district window decorating contest––which she intends to win. She throws herself into putting up a Graceland/Blue Christmas motif, with lots of tinsel, an steel tree, and all kinds of tacky retro stuff. The project takes up so much time that Weezie is ready to shoot herself with her glue gun by the time she's done, but the results are stunning. She's sure she's one–upped the owners of the trendy shop around the corner. But suddenly, things go missing from Weezie's display, and there seems to be a mysterious midnight visitor to her shop.

Still, Weezie has high hopes for the holiday––maybe in the form of an engagement ring from her chef boyfriend. But Daniel, always moody at the holidays, seems more distant than usual.

Throw in Weezie's decidedly odd family, a 1950s Christmas tree pin, and even a little help from the King himself, and maybe there will be a pocketful of miracles for Weezie this Christmas eve.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - A chicklit Christmas
Weezie Foley is the owner of an antique shop in downtown Savannah. She is intent on winning this year's window dressing contest, but her fruit-based displays are sabotaged by hungry but otherwise mysterious vandals. She quickly comes up with a new theme, "Blue Christmas." Turns out that Blue Christmas is a theme for more than Weezie's window display: her boyfriend is too busy with work to celebrate the holidays, her neighbors are angry at her mutt dog Jethro for knocking up their pedigreed pup, and someone has been sneaking into Weezie's store and home.

I bought this book as part of a cozy mystery lot on eBay, but I would classify it more as chicklit. There is a very, very small amount of mystery, but it is more a vehicle for humor. This book is a breeze to read, and Weezie and the occupants of her town will provide you with an entertaining diversion during the holiday season.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Quick, easy read
It's Christmas in Savannah and Weezie Foley is involved in a decorating contest at her shop. Her closest competitors have a shop around the corner and it seems that they will stop at nothing to win. She has to wonder if they are the ones responsible for the things that are missing or vandalized at her store. Added to this, her boyfriend Daniel is in a bad mood and just wants Christmas to be over. This is a holiday novella which is a quick and easy read and which bubbles over with Southern charm and humor.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Fun Read
This was my very first Audio book by this author, I enjoyed the story, and will try another of Mary Kay Andrews audio books.
A very pleasant respite from the real world around us.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Lighten up the holiday
Enjoyable story with Weezie and her clan again. Mary Kay Andrews introduces us to new funny characters and keeps us laughing with the old ones. Enjoyed the story and definitely helped lighten the holiday spirit when we seem to get bogged down by being pulled different directions. Settle down for a few minutes to read this and it will definitely improve your mood! The story seemed to drag in the middle, but has you laughing out loud at the end. Bring on more Weezie and BeBe!

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Quick and Easy But Could Have Been Better
This is my very first book by Andrews. I started out really enjoying the book, getting swept up in the charm, description of the antiques world, and the humor. However, as the book went on, it went flat.

I read lots of romances and cozy mysteries so I'm familiar with the formula. As a romance, it didn't meet my expectations. I never felt the chemistry between the hero and heroine. In fact, I thought Daniel was annoying and boring. As a mystery, it was just OK. I did like our main character a lot and her heart was in a good place helping out Apple Annie. In the second half of the book, the author's attempts at humour came off as way too over the top for my tastes. An example of this would be Daniel's family dinner.

I understand after reading other reviews that the 2 main female characters are in other books by this author. Since I have several more written by her in my stacks I will read them at some point. If I hadn't, I doubt I would have made much effort to seek them out.
