Editor's Notes and Comments:
Product Description:
Diane Whitehead takes the role as the lead author with the newest edition of 'Essentials of Nursing Leadership & Management'. The biggest change past users will find over the previous edition is the use of four colour throughout the entire text. The new design provides a fresh look to accompany the new and revised content from cover to cover. New content includes coverage of contemporary workplace issues, including agency nurses and staff shortages. With the easy-to-read style, instructor focus, comprehensive content, emphasis on current issues and trends, and the new full-colour design - the fourth edition will appeal to novice faculty looking for teaching strategies applicable to today's students.

This book is really helpful in seeing what managers and supervisors go through. It is a smaller book that gets to the point without reading through a bunch of unnecessary filler words.

This is a very good book. It is very easy to follow and not as boring as others. It has pretty good tables which are easy understand and the study questions are a plus. I like the fact that every chapter has a self-assessment test before you start reading it. It makes you think before you even get into the chapter.

Good basic textbook for nursing students, education of new nurses, and/or persons who have recently been promoted to a leadership position without previous leadership experience.

This book was a requirement for my nursing issues and trends course. The book itself was basic stuff that we as nurses already know. What was good about the book was that it took what we know and showed us how to apply it to everyday situations.
