Editor's Notes and Comments:
Brief Book Summary:
This true medical detective story describes the author's four generation family odyssey that leads him to paths less traveled. He discusses multiple biological causes of and effective nutritional interventions for those suffering from bipolar disorder and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. He explores new typologies for 'mental' illness, as well as assumptions and practices in the justice and mental health systems that impact those with CNS disorders. A totally different way — for patients, parents, teachers, therapists, police, prison guards, nurses, doctors and judges — to think about mental illness.

This book has really saved our life. David Moyer mentioned Truehope
in his book and this was an important step forward to solve my daughter/s health problems. It was like find a pearl in the ocean
for me. One book can change lifes. But this is only the beginning. I agree with David Moyer that there is a health problem that causes the symptoms.
But better start to eat the right natural food and detoxify the body so that the body can heal than to waste time with seeking the source of the
problem. Give the body what it needs and start the healing program which
is within every living being. Read Doctor Gearsons book about cancer healing and there is the answer.

This will take some time (3-4 weeks) to really understand things for people new to the subject

An excellent book for those (or the loved ones of those) who have suffered from manic depression or those who know nothing of it. Moyer weaves his family's day-to-day "mental" health struggles into his own quest to find a cure. This makes for a nice mixture of quite hard science (be prepared for some active reading!) and a beautifully-written and sometimes gut-wrenching family history. He does take a bit too much time in concluding the book, but this is a minor point compared to the overall quality of the work. A must read!!

Too good to be true? Nutrients
I have not had time to read it.

A family with multiple generations of bi-polar
disorder, a father struggling to save his son,
a lot of research and exploration into causation
of mental illness, some of the science is dense
and hard for a lay person to read, other parts
of this are gripping, personal, and interesting.
Anyone considering TrueHope nutritional supplements
will want to read this material.
