Product Description:
Elder Claxton William Morgan pastors Greater Power Pentecostal, the most prestigious church in Colorado. Because of his busyness, his wife has been mistreated and disrespected by her husband and the members. Elder Morgan is sweet, kind, loving, and humble at church, but when he is at home, he is mean!!! First Lady Bea Morgan, as quiet as she is, takes you on an excursion into her personal life, to share with you the woman of God women so desire to be. She wants you to know how the Saints really are after they pray, after they preach, and after they praise the Lord. At the same time, you will learn how to patiently stand on the promises of God and that God will pull you out of any furnace of affliction that He has placed you in to. You need to grab some tissue to catch your tears of joy, anger, and compassion. Lady Bea Morgan does not want to be respected because she is merely the Pastor s wife; she wants to be respected because she is a lady. When you re done reading this book, you will love your First Lady more and you will always remember that The Pastors Wife Does Cry!

If you are a pastor's wife or "aspiring" very first lady (whatever that means), I absolutely do not recommend this book. It's good for a chuckle or two - Lady Bea certainly has an over-abundance of sarcasm. But if you are involved with a preacher/pastor, this book can easily send you running in the opposite direction! What's sad is that a lot of the struggles this poor woman faced had little to do with being married to a pastor. She just didn't have a good husband. She didn't stand up for herself and her husband didn't stand up for her. He didn't respect his vows and he allowed other women to disrespect his wife and interfere with his marriage AND his ministry. I don't understand why she remained married to this man. She had not one good word to say about him after the very first year of marriage. What part of the game is that? I really hope Lady Bea stops suffering in silence. But to anyone who is married to or contemplating marrying a pastor, this book is not a source for inspriation. You will not be encouraged.
Signed,
Aspring to marry the man I love (who happens to be a pastor)

There are some things in this life I have wanted and desired but never the pastor of my church. We have had some handsome ministers over the years who headed up our congregation but never once have I thought I must have him. Better still never have I ever disrespected the pastor's wife either.
Honestly I must say that I have reviewed many books but none ever affected me as this one did. As I read this book I went through many emotions like anger, happiness, and sadness and even I wanted revenge. The book is about a very first lady of a large church. She discussed her feelings and mistreatment at the hands of supposedly Christian women whose primary objective was not to walk through the pearly gates of Heaven but to ride the minister and not like in a car.
This book takes you through a varied amount of emotions. It is well written and teaches pastors and their members about how God expects them to act when dealing with "a Jezebel". I guess that is why I am not a pastors' wife because I would have been a strong woman to contend with and they would have felt my wrath.
This book is highly recomended to all church goers and those who plan to go in the future.

I throughly enjoyed reading "The Pastor's Wife Does Cry" by Lady Bea Morgan. I love the way it was written. It was more of a directional for as "aspiring" First Lady and a help to a present First Lady. I can't , wouldn't and can never be a First Lady. The things I learned in this book taught me a lot and I have new respect for First Lady's. I've always looked at them as special people because they endure so much criticism for being on the pastor's arm alone. As for the pastor in this book he would have been killed a long time ago. Rev. Claxton Morgan was a trip and a half, literally. I still can't believe he had the nerve to talk and treat First Lady Morgan like that. If that was my husband he would have been knocked out on the floor by the second syllable. Then where do I start with these trifling women that call themselves his friends. First there was Willimina the best friend wanted to be the best thing in a married man's life. She had no respect for First Lady Morgan and her so called " friend" Rev. Morgan either. How are you going to take another women's husband to sign adoption papers? When he returned he would need adoption for a new family to take him in because there would be closed sign on the door of his home with me. Secondly there was Pam the so called " family friend". Yeah she was family alright , always volunteering to help out in more ways than one. Last but not least the "aspiring First Lady", Airika. There's only one First Lady at a time so stop trying to step on her toes by dressing like her, catering to the pastor as if he's your husband, and a host of other things I'll leave to your imagination. But you can see that I liked this book and highly recommend it to every church going male or female. Watch the people from the front door that greet you to the man standing before you declaring GOD's WORD because they may make you cry too just as they did this First Lady.

Bea asked God for a church home and a husband, and that he be saved and willing to discuss scriptures with her. She also asked that the Lord show her 'her' husband. One year later her dreams revealed a preacher from her church, and that preacher it seems, had the same revelation.
Bea's life was not what she prayed for, all she wanted was a saved man; she did not want to be a 'First Lady'. But six short months after their marriage, her husband became the pastor. Over the course of nine years Bea learned to smile at church even when her husband was Jekyll at church and Hyde at home, even when the sisters loved her husband and hated her. She learned to leave her marriage at home and eventually she learned to be physically present, but to leave herself at home.
She shares how her husband's 'busyness' set the stage for mistreatment and disrespect, by him and his congregation. She talks about the facade surrounding her position, and her anger towards God. But Bea never lost faith, she gave God the reins and He gave her the strength to take readers on an excursion into her personal life. Lady Bea hopes when readers finish this book, they will love their First Lady more and they will remember that the pastor's wife does cry. Included are scriptures to support the teachings Lady Bea shares.

Initially I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I opened the pages of THE PASTOR'S WIFE DOES CRY! However, let me share this with you, this memoir by Lady Bea Morgan is an eye opener! When busyness starts to wedge itself into the lives of Pastor Claxton Morgan and the First Lady, she stays prayerful. When his friendships with others cause for her to be mistreated and disrespected, she's prayerful. When the sweet, kind and loving man that ministers to the church no longer shows up at their home, she's prayerful. And with all of that prayer, there are tears. Tears unseen by the people seeking to divide, replace or even love her. First Lady Bea Morgan is a peaceful being whose powerful presence and faith in the Lord never wavers even when she's faced with affliction after affliction.
I was moved through the entire book and unable to concentrate at work because I wanted to read every single page. While the book itself is only 95 pages, the wealth and knowledge shared throughout is so very overwhelming. This is definitely a book worth sharing!
