Product Description:
'Bright Desert', a collection of poems by Chad Witt (1971-2000), compiled by Meade Crane and with an essay by Fred Pollack. Chad Witt (1971-2000) was an autodidactic gay romantic seeking balance through a maze of hyper-senses and bipolar extremes. A relentless learner with total recall, his work served as a safety valve for his synæsthesia and social dysfunction. Born in Iowa, Witt spent most of his life in California, later settling in Seattle. He produced poetry, prose, photography, oil paintings, Photoshop art, a glass installation and music compositions. Witt committed suicide in 2000. Meade Crane is a pianist and musician living in the Puget Sound region, who knew Chad Witt from 1988. Fred Pollack is a published poet and Adjunct Professor of Creative Writing at George Washington University.
