First of all I dont see what the big fuss is over the gramatical errors and to many commas? I saw nothing of the sort,,,,,,, But then again I was reading the book not grading an English test like the dumb reviewers before me. This is not only a great book about Dilinger its a great book about all of the Public Enimies of the 30s like Alvin Karpis (My Hero) Fred and Doc Barker, Lester Gillis, George Kelly, Aurthur Floyd, Volney Davis, and others. I finished this book in about 10 hours and could not put it down. Tony Stewart does a great job of taking you back in time to the 30s and putting you at the banks and hideouts of the famous outlaws. He gives them all a fair shake in his book, so if your like me and have a favorite outlaw then you will find plenty of info and stories about your hero. I hope that when looking to purchase this book you dont read the stupid reviews of the English Teachers but trust me in saying that whatever price you pay for this book will be well worth it, you have my word.

This book on John Dillinger, published in October 2002, by Tony Stewart has come with some good and very poor book reviews in the past. I feel it is somewhere in the middle as Mr. Stewart does have some new material on the Dillinger Gang. It is a self-published work by Xlibris Corporation and may have not been edited, as some readers have alreay discovered many grammatical errors. However, I am an avid researcher/writer of the outlaws of the Pre-Depression and Depression Era and have found that most recently published books of this time period have something to offer. Such is Tony Stewart's work on the "Gangsters & G-Men of the Great Depression Era." Next time it might be well worth his time to use either footnotes or endnotes to document his work.

I know you are working on revising and re-editing it, but it is still good and very informative. Frankly, I enjoyed this book. Was sent to me as a gift from a friend and I spent my time on vacation reading this. I find it interesting about the part where Tony Stewart is related to Dillinger. The interview with his aunt was cool. If anyone wants to read a little more into the life of John Dillinger, I would read this one. I would anyways, I liked it.

I was really impressed with the research in this book. THIS IS THE BEST BOOK OUT THERE ON DILLINGER! Very detailed and correct, but best of all is ALL the NEW information. I highly recommend this book regardless of what jealous critics are saying. THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT! A collectors items!
