I read this book faster than I have read a book for a long time. I was so riveted by the events portrayed that I stayed up the second night very late to complete.
Within the very first few chapters I felt I was reading someone's personal diary and I was reading such personal details that I wasn't sure to continue for fear of treading on sacred ground. Not only was it such detailed insight into a mental disorder with which few people are familiar, but the suspenseful and emotional impact was compelling. It became apparent throughout the unfolding chapters, that the author was truly giving a gift to the reader.. the gift of understanding and hopefulness of this strange disorder. The message was clear...Bi-polar disorder can be treated if the ill person is willing and wants to be treated. It also goes into the depths of what can occur when the disorder is overlooked and goes untreated. It is a message I am sharing with friends who are living or have lived with a bi-polar loved one.
I would have given it five stars, however, some punctuation and spelling errors,at times, slowed down the reading. I quickly learned to over look them and concentrate on this amazing story.
