Hope Sommers, a journalist, meets Jake Conrad when she interviews him for a business article. Jake and Hope quickly become involved since Hope is separated from her husband, an attorney who has left Hope for another attorney at his law firm, and Jake is separated from his wife, Laura. Hope meets with Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, a psychologist, to discuss her romance with Jake. The psychologist feels that Jake and Hope may have a past life connection, so she regresses Hope. Hope recalls a past life more than 2,000 years ago when the Romans occupied Great Britain and she and Jake were lovers. To investigate this, they visit the Roman Baths in England. Hope finds an ancient coin, which gives Jake déjà vu and he decides to be regressed as well. On the flight from London to New York, Hope becomes extremely ill. It's a race against time to save Hope's life. After many twists of fate, will Hope and Jake finally embrace their past and start a future together?
